Synopsis13 - 2 States

'2 States' is about Krish Malhotra, a Punjabi guy and Ananya Swaminathan, a Tamil girl, who fell in love with each other while studying in IIMA. Both of them are madly in love with each other but their families are against this marriage.

Krish's parents want him to get married to some rich Punjabi girl. While Ananya's parents want her to get married to a Tamil guy with an American degree. In addition to this, Krish's family doesn't like Ananya and Ananya's family doesn't like Krish. Also, the two families doesn't like each other being culturally and linguistically poles apart.

Now, it is upto Krish and Ananya to get their families on board, so that they give their consent for the impending marriage. And that's the story !!

The story appears quite simple but highly exaggerated. The thing which I liked about this book is that the author has tried to insert humorous elements wherever possible. This humorous elements make this book readable, else the story is quite redundant and boring.

Synopsis 12 - Frankenstein

In this book, Mary Shelly describes how Victor Frankenstein, a student of natural philosophy, who creates a monstrous living being. This monstrous living being although tender hearted  is hideous in countenance. He is abhorred and detested by human beings wherever he comes across them. As a result, he becomes increasingly desolated from the society and has to hide in snow clad mountains, caves and isolated places where he doesn't have to come across human beings.

Over a course of time the giant becomes  increasingly isolated and secluded which makes him cruel. He then decides to take revenge  on his creator Frankenstein. In order to make Frankenstein feel isolated, the monstrous being  goes on to kill all the relatives and friends of Frankenstein.

After having being bereaved of all his loved ones, Frankenstein then pursues his creation to the Arctic in order to destroy them. This story thus reflects the horrific and terrifying consequences of playing God.
